Taste of victory for Husky Senior’s final home match

It was the last time playing on home turf for the Delta Husky soccer seniors, but they left the field holding their heads high.

The Delta Huskies came out strong against the Birchwood Warriors Friday. Senior Captains Judah Augustin and Noriel Lugo led the team to a 2-1 hard won victory. Saturday morning they once again took to the field and overpowered the Warriors with a comfortable 7-1 victory. Every team player contributed and had game time against their opponent.

The team travels to Soldotna on September 24 to play Cook Inlet Academy. Friday they play Holy Rosary Academy in Anchorage, and Saturday they will face Twindley Bridge Tundra Swans; Regionals are October 6.
